List of Attendees

HOTEL:

Attendees should make their own room reservations at Cavallo Point at (888) 651-2003. The special ECOS group rate of $236.25 for single/double accommodations (plus $6 roundtrip porterage fee and 4% facility fee) is available thru March 2 or sellout, whichever is sooner. ECOS room nights include March 30 and 31 and April 1, with limited room availability on March 29 and April 2. The ECOS rate is significantly lower than Cavallo Point's standard rates.

Cavallo Point is unable to offer ECOS attendees the applicable federal per diem rate of $189 for San Francisco. (This rate applies rather than the Marin County rate due to a footnote in federal guidelines covering entities -- in this case the Golden Gate National Recreation Area -- in more than one county.)

NOTE THAT AS OF FEBRUARY 7, THE ECOS ROOM BLOCK AT CAVALLO POINT IS SOLD OUT ON SOME NIGHTS. Group rate rooms for these nights will become available only if there are cancellations.

Cavallo Point's check-in time is 4 p.m., and checkout time is noon. Room cancellation is required 72 hours prior unless otherwise indicated.

ALTERNATE LODGING:

Alternate hotel arrangements may be made at Casa Madrona (http://casamadrona.com), which has a limited special offering of three nights for the price of two, Hotel Sausalito (http://hotelsausalito.com), Gables Inn (http://gablesinnsausalito.com/), Inn Above Tide (http://innabovetide.com), or other downtown Sausalito properties. Request non-water views for the lowest rates. Cavallo Point Lodge provides complimentary shuttle service at 10:30 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m. to the downtown Sausalito Ferry Station, which is approximately one mile away (and not walkable). Cab service can be arranged at other times.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION:

For directions to Cavallo Point Lodge, visit www.cavallopoint.com and click on directions at the bottom of the page. Travel times to and from the airport range from 30 minutes to one hour depending on traffic. For those who drive to the hotel, the daily ECOS parking rate at Cavallo Point is $25.

The Marin Airporter shuttle (www.marinairporter.com) is the least expensive option ($20) from the San Francisco airport for passengers traveling alone. The shuttle ride is 50 minutes minimum from the airport to the Spencer Avenue drop-off point, from which a Cavallo Point shuttle can pick up passengers until 11 p.m. Call Cavallo Point at (415) 339-4700 to arrange a shuttle pickup.

Although cab fare from the airport runs $75 to $100, ECOS is collecting flight arrival and departure information from attendees interested in sharing rides. If you would like to be entered into the ride-sharing database, please email flight information to Layne Piper at lpiper@ecos.org, and she will contact parties if there is a match. For the return trip to the San Francisco airport, the hotel concierge can reserve with Safari (www.taximarin.com) a flat rate cab fare of $60 plus gratuity, which can be shared among up to three passengers.
