This Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) marks the renewal of a state-federal partnership between EPA, ECOS and the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) aimed at advancing work to protect public health and the environment. Signed at the 2021 ECOS Spring Meeting and announced by newly-confirmed EPA Administrator Michael Regan, the MOA serves as a recommitment to another 5 years of work to address environmental health challenges such as COVID-19 in wastewater, PFAS and HABs risk communication, and wildfire smoke.
