The Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) recently provided a two-hour diversity training course to all its employees. The training, led by Dr. Paul Frazier, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer at the University of South Alabama, promoted ADEM’s goal of cultivating inclusion by encouraging access, equity, and respect for all persons.
In addition, ADEM Director Lance LeFleur recently recognized 11 employees who completed Certified Public Manager programs through offerings at Auburn University at Montgomery. During the program, participants had the opportunity to enhance their management skills, and to explore ways to achieve efficiency gains and cost savings for the agency.
By providing trainings like these, ADEM is expanding the capabilities of its staff and helping to improve the management of the agency.
