On October 6, the District of Columbia Department of Energy & Environment (DOEE) celebrated the 6th annual Energy Efficiency Day alongside several regional and national partners. The event highlighted the importance of advancing energy efficiency, which helps create jobs, saves consumers money, and fights climate change. In a tweet, DOEE noted that energy efficiency could meet one-third of our expected electricity generation needs by 2030.
