In late March, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection recently convened the third in a series of annual summits to explore solutions to harmful algal blooms (HABs). The virtual program featured expert speakers from government and academia who shared progress related to HAB science, monitoring, response, management, treatment, and communication. The summit welcomed participants from all levels of government, environmental commissions, watershed associations, environmental nonprofits, businesses, academics, HAB treatment experts, and other interested stakeholders.
Recordings and other materials from the summit are available for viewing and download here. The summit is part of New Jersey’s ongoing work to reduce and prevent future HABs in the state.
