The Delaware Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Control (DENRC) worked in collaboration with the Woodlawn Trustees and other partners to acquire and protect an additional 2.27 acres adjacent to an existing 407-acre forest block. This critical parcel provides entryway to a popular trail system and also guarantees uninterrupted access to beautiful hikes along the Brandywine Creek.
The acquisition is one of several land stewardship partnerships between DENRC and Woodlawn Trustees aimed at conserving land and providing public access to open space.
