The Montana Department of Environmental Quality has released new walkthrough inspection videos to help train new operators and employees of the Underground Storage Tank (UST) program. These videos may serve as models for other states tackling UST compliance monitoring and tracking to prevent release of petroleum and other hazardous substances into the environment.
According to the state, benefits of walkthrough inspections include a better understanding of the state’s system, the ability to identify problems early, avoidance of fuel loss, and greater peace of mind. Check out Montana’s walkthrough inspection video and annual walkthrough inspection video.
