In an effort to advance Oregon’s transportation industry and steer away from heavy polluting vehicles, the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality has begun a $15M program in support of building new charging infrastructure for zero-emission, medium- and heavy- duty trucks. Through the one-time grant program, which opened on November 15, public agencies, businesses, and individuals interested in installing zero-emission facilities are encouraged to develop a comprehensive plan and apply for funding. The initiative aspires to create more widespread locations for fueling, enhancing both Oregon air quality and opportunities to diversify Oregon fleets.
