On August 10, the Kentucky Energy & Environment Cabinet, along with other state agencies, signed a shared stewardship agreement with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service to improve collaborative management of lands and waters throughout the state. Kentucky becomes the 13th state in the South and final state in the nation to sign such an agreement, strengthening partnerships within the Commonwealth to increase the scope and scale of critical forest treatments that support communities and improve forest conditions.
