As part of the agency’s efforts to help applicants determine which permits and/or approvals are required for projects, the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has developed the Permit Key decision guide. Indexed for easy navigation, the guide links to external resources to help users understand important decision points and direct them to DEQ support staff and application documentation. The resource also outlines programmatic and regulatory requirements for initial permits and approval suitability determinations, fostering improved process transparency.
DEQ is in the process of developing a Grant and Loan Key with a similar purpose of helping project proponents determine available funding sources based on project eligibility, as well as approval review keys to map approval review processes.
Join DEQ for an overview of the Permit Key on a webinar on May 22 at 10-11 a.m. Eastern.
