The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality is promoting sustainability by funding proposals for e-waste disposal in cities, counties, and solid waste authorities throughout the state.
The Computer and Electronic Waste Recycling Grants Program provides financial assistance to regional solid waste management districts and local governments to develop and improve recycling opportunities for unwanted computer and electronic devices. Potential activities to qualify for funding include e-waste collection and transportation as well as programs to raise public awareness. In the past, as much as $250,000 has been awarded among grant recipients.
