The District Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) is offering grants to eligible entities to help control, prevent, and remediate nonpoint sources of polluted runoff to DC waters and the Chesapeake Bay. Engaging, educating, and empowering District residents to become stewards of the District’s waters and the Chesapeake Bay are important facets of the Request for Applications for grants totaling approximately $2.44 million.
DOEE is seeking applications for ten projects in areas ranging from schoolyard conservation site education to innovative low-impact development/green infrastructure demonstration, green infrastructure job training, and stream restoration monitoring. Eligible entities include nonprofits, faith-based organizations, government agencies, universities and educational institutions, and private enterprises.
