Earlier this month, hundreds of fifth grade students gathered to celebrate the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) H2Oklahoma Water Festival, an annual event designed to raise awareness of the importance of the states’ water resources. The festival, sponsored by the state agencies that comprise the Oklahoma Environmental Education Coordinating Committee, featured fun activities run by DEQ employees that taught students about water history and conservation.
