In this statement, ECOS extends its concern to the residents affected by the water contamination in Flint, Michigan. ECOS’ Officers highlight elements of ECOS’ mission statement, which provide a guide to how ECOS members will learn from this serious situation and be prepared for and prevent similar events from occurring. ECOS Executive and General Counsel, Alexandra Dunn, comments that ECOS will continue to take active steps in its own programs and promote communication to U.S. EPA and other federal agencies to help ensure public health and safety.
