This week, the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality assisted the Louisiana Rural Water Association in hosting several maintenance and inspection workshops for residents with home sewage treatment systems. The classes were free to the public and funded through the U.S. EPA.
Properly operating systems are vital to improving and/or maintaining water quality in rivers, bayous, streams, and lakes.
