The New Mexico Environment Department, the New Mexico Water Resources Research Institute, and others are sponsoring the 2nd Annual Conference on Environmental Conditions of the Animas and San Juan Watersheds on June 20-22, 2017 in Farmington, NM. The conference will have an emphasis on the Gold King Mine spill and will facilitate the exchange of data and research results associated with monitoring efforts.
Other topics covered will include acid mine drainage, effects of historical mill-waste discharges, and the fate and transport of mining contaminants.
