The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s Save Our Streams coordinator recently worked with the Mountain Institute, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving mountain ecosystems, to offer stream monitoring training for educators.
WV Save Our Streams aims to promote the preservation and restoration of the state’s waters through a biosurvey approach, conducting workshops and monitoring local streams and rivers to increase understanding of ecological integrity.
