The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection is actively helping communities reduce stormwater runoff through its Let’s Be Stormwater Smart, PA public awareness campaign. On the campaign webpage, Pennsylvania DEP lists seven ways in which residents can reduce stormwater, including several videos and resources such as the Pennsylvania stormwater GIS map site.
As a part of the campaign, Pennsylvania DEP recently published a guest post by Sister Pat Lupo of the Benedictine Sisters of Erie on the need for stormwater management. Pennsylvania DEP is also encouraging residents to share stormwater reduction tips and successes on social media using #StormwaterSmartPA.
