The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, in collaboration with the Tennessee Environmental Council, will sponsor 250K Tree Day on February 24. On this day, 250,000 native tree seedlings will be planted across Tennessee, making it the largest tree-planting effort in the United States. The planting project aims to promote and educate the public on the benefits trees provide to Tennessee’s public health and natural resources.
