This week, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) awarded Plant Operations Excellence Awards to five Northwest Florida utilities. The award recipients, which included three drinking water and two domestic wastewater facilities, were recognized for their special commitment to operational excellence.
DEP presents awards each year to domestic wastewater and drinking water facilities that demonstrate excellence in operation, maintenance, innovative treatment, waste reduction, pollution prevention, recycling or other achievements.
