On Earth Day this past weekend, the town up Oxford, North Carolina celebrated with a groundbreaking ceremony for a new 750k gallon water tank funded through the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Division for Water Infrastructure.
Last year, DEQ launched a master plan to tackle problems faced by many cities and towns in replacing and repairing aging water infrastructure. The Statewide Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Master Plan fosters the long-term viability of individual water and wastewater utilities by providing access not only to capital funds but also to resources that help utilities address organizational and financial management challenges.
