The Utah Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is sharing its spin on the classic tale ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, with DEQ Executive Director Alan Matheson Director delivering a holiday message highlighting agency work to address wildfires, auto emissions, algae growth, and drinking water and waste management.
In the humorous video, Matheson recognizes the DEQ public servants who work hard on these issues. To make way for a brighter future, he calls on everyone to take action in ways big and small, including carpooling and recycling and reducing waste.
“This time of year, and throughout the year, we at DEQ take very seriously our responsibility to protect public health and protect the beauty of this amazing state, and we wish you all the best of the holiday season,” he said.
