This month, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) organized the Take Care of Texas Video Contest. Students in sixth through twelfth grade were invited to submit a 30-second video on how they can protect the environment in their daily lives, including keeping the air clean, keeping the water clean, conserving water, saving energy, or reducing waste. See their creative entries at the link above.
For students in kindergarten through fifth grade, TCEQ now is also running an art contest encouraging students to submit a piece of artwork showing how they protect the environment.
