The California Environmental Protection Agency’s Environmental Justice Task Force has developed a new story map of the Stockton Environmental Justice Initiative, which focused on addressing environmental concerns in Stockton identified by residents, city officials, and community partners.
The task force worked with local enforcement agencies to conduct more than 200 inspections in facilities and 80 heavy-duty trucks looking for violations and, when appropriate, issuing citations when violations were found. The task force also identified gaps in local regulatory enforcement programs and worked with local regulatory agencies to address them.
