The Maine Department of Environmental Protection has published a reference guide to help municipalities deal with floods. The guide is designed to provide basic information for municipal flood event needs and to provide contacts at DEP for further assistance.
Key topics addressed include fuel storage and spills; debris management; emergency repairs to infrastructure; and stormwater, wastewater, and drinking water challenges.
