The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality, together with the Washington State Department of Natural Resources, U.S. EPA Office of Research and Development and Region 10, and local governments, is collaborating to promote Smoke Ready Week.
Idaho encourages citizens to check their air quality index. EPA has created a Smoke-Ready Toolbox for Wildfires website with information on ways the public can prepare to reduce their health risk before a wildfire. Meanwhile, Region 10 has promoted ways to help families to prepare by setting up a clean room.
