The Utah Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Drinking Water Bureau has released a dashboard on SARS-CoV-2 prevalence in wastewater in the state.
The dashboard shares results of a pilot study in the state that tested samples from ten sewage treatment plants in April and May. Initial results show a correlation between the virus in wastewater and the number of known active cases.
DEQ worked with the Utah Department of Health and several universities in the state on this research.
