The Tennessee Department of Environment &Conservation (TDEC), which launched its first-ever Virtual Summer Camp Program this past June and July, is reporting tremendous success and engagement.
The program highlighted topics including food waste, air pollution, and recycling and allowed TDEC to reach many young people, particularly at a time when access to typical educational opportunities was on pause. Not only did TDEC engage youth in Tennessee and the entire country, but it also attracted viewers in Australia, Canada, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Thailand, and the United Kingdom.
