The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, & Energy (EGLE) will host a webinar on February 25, 2021 at 10-11 a.m. Eastern to introduce its new Maps & Data webpage and showcase data available in the new Open Data portal. The webpage brings together all of EGLE’s map-driven applications as well as publicly available data for download in one top-level centralized location. On the webinar, EGLE will share insights on the types of data the public can expect from the Open Data portal. EGLE will also explain how the public can tell which data are authoritative and why that is important. Anyone interested in how EGLE is sharing spatial data with the public may attend.
