In May 2024, ECOS President Elizabeth Biser submitted testimony to the U.S. House Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, & Related Agencies addressing FY25 Appropriations for the U.S. EPA. Specifically, ECOS asked for increased funding for specific Categorical Grants to support states’ implementation of federal programs, for fully authorized funding for the Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds (SRFs) and separate funding of Congressionally Directed Spending projects, and for support for addressing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and the circular economy.
