Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) Celebrates Environmental Awareness Month

Throughout the month of April, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands’ (CNMI) Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality (BECQ) is celebrating Environmental Awareness Month. The theme for EAM 2024 is Root for Earth, focusing on collective responsibilities to preserve and safeguard the environment for the health and well-being of CNMI residents. BECQ has planned a wealth of events throughout the month to engage the community, including island-wide cleanup days, environmental lab tours, an environmental expo, community movie nights, and an Earth Day tree planting event.
