Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont announced this week the formation of an interagency working group, to be led by the state’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) and Department of Public Health, to examine issues related to PFAS. In his directive, Lamont tasked the working group with establishing and implementing an action plan to minimize environmental exposure to PFAS for Connecticut residents; minimize future releases of PFAS to the environment; and identify, assess, and clean up historic releases of PFAS to the environment. The working group will convene its first meeting on July 30.
