This week, the DC Department of Energy & the Environment published The Consumer Solar Finance Guide to help homeowners and renters understand the rapidly expanding market of solar energy solutions. Solar panel costs are dropping, but financing and installing solar panels can be complicated. The guide aims to bring clarity to the process by informing DC residents of the differences between rooftop solar and community solar, the availability of District programs that assist in financing, and other resources to help interested residents get started.
DOEE will host a Solar Financing 101 webinar on December 9 as part of the guideās launch.
