The Delaware Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Control (DNREC) has launched an improved online resource this week to help residents better understand recycling and waste disposal practices in their area. Recyclopedia, accessible by computer or cell phone, features a user-friendly, picture-based guide of over 375 common items along with directions on how to recycle or dispose of them. For example, should Delawareans leave their coffee cups with curbside recycling, an alternative drop-off location, or in the trash or dumpster?
According to DNREC Secretary Shawn Garvin, “The updated Recyclopedia search tool continues to leverage the latest technology enabling DNREC to help residents and Delaware visitors reduce the amount of recyclables and other waste sent to our landfills.”
