On March 7 – 9, the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and its co-sponsors, the City of Flint and State of Michigan, will host the 2017 Flint Water Infrastructure Summit, a national conversation focused on the need for flexible and innovative water technologies. The summit will address initiatives outlined by Governor Rick Snyder’s 21st Century Infrastructure Commission, with a specific focus on sharing lessons learned from the City of Flint, providing sustainable and affordable infrastructure in cities where populations have declined, and proposing use of new, implementable technologies.
Any state officials interested in presenting at the Summit are invited to submit one or more abstracts by November 11 for review. For more information on abstracts or the event, click here.
