As part of Minnesota’s 25 by 25 campaign to improve water quality 25% by 2025, Governor Mark Dayton has held three of 10 clean water town hall meetings over the past three weeks. Hundreds of Minnesotans have attended the meetings to discuss ways to improve the quality of the state’s lakes, rivers, streams, and drinking water.
The first town hall to kick off the effort was a great success, with 300 attending in Rochester, Minnesota. Dayton remarked after that first meeting, “It’s really encouraging that we had that many people come out on a beautiful summer night because they care about the future of water quality in Rochester, Olmsted County, and the region and the state.”
