Today, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak is hosting an infrastructure summit in Las Vegas to bring together state, tribal, and federal officials; community partners; industry leaders; and other stakeholders to learn about infrastructure investments coming to the state. Headliners for the event include Senior Advisor and Infrastructure Coordinator for the White House Mitch Landrieu, U.S. Department of Transportation Undersecretary for Transportation Policy Carlos Monje, and President of the Las Vegas Raiders Sandra Douglass Morgan. Attendees will discuss a wide range of infrastructure topics in breakout sessions, including one on water infrastructure moderated by Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (DEP) Deputy Administrator Jennifer Carr. Panelists in that session include representatives of the Nevada DEP and Division of Water Resources, the U.S. Department of Interior, and local water districts.
In related efforts to prepare the state for the infrastructure funding and work, Nevada has launched NevadaBuilds.com, a website dedicated to the state’s activities.
