The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) has established new interim specific groundwater quality standards for PFOA and PFOS. The interim specific groundwater quality standard for both of these contaminants is 0.01 micrograms per liter (ug/L) or 10 parts per trillion (ppt). More information is available here.
In its announcement, NJDEP recommended that the information available in the ITRC PFAS technical documents be utilized as part of the evaluation by the party responsible for conducting PFOA/PFOS remediation.
