This week, Ohio Environmental Protection Agency Director Anne Vogel and Governor Mike DeWine celebrated environmental success documented in a two-year study finding that 86% of river miles surveyed met expectations and are in good to excellent condition.
Governor DeWine reflected on the progress made since the 1980s, when only 18% of Ohio’s large river miles that were surveyed met expectations. Ohio has also been sharing its water and wastewater successes on a story map as part of their H2Ohio Initiative.
