Utah’s Charge Your Yard Initiative uses public outreach and incentives to address summertime ozone challenges and encourage the switch to electric lawn equipment. Utah developed a website to inform the public about the polluting nature of 2-stroke lawn equipment and incentivize businesses to make the switch in preparation for new rule implementation that will restrict use on unhealthy air quality days.
