The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has announced that it will offer a second round of Alternative Fueling Facilities Program (AFFP) grants to eligible individuals, businesses, and government entities to continue the development of a network of natural gas and/or other alternative fuel fueling stations. These stations serve as a foundation for a self-sustaining market for alternative fuel vehicles in Texas. As part of the Texas Emissions Reduction Plan, these grants are offered to eligible applicants that intend to build, own, and operate alternative fuel and/or natural gas fueling stations in the Clean Transportation Zone.
Eligible fuels for the AFFP include: compressed natural gas and/or liquefied natural gas, biodiesel, hydrogen, methanol, propane, and electricity.
