The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality and Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments have produced a new video on the LeadFreeWyoming.com website, which offers comprehensive resources for water systems completing the service line inventory process. The video, entitled WY Risk It? Test Your Water Line for Lead, helps residents learn more about their water service line and how to help their local water utility complete a statewide survey.
This initiative is part of a broader nationwide effort requiring drinking water systems to identify and compile an inventory of service line material types to help protect public health from the known negative effects of lead. These initial inventories are due to U.S. EPA by October 16.
