Wyoming Features Sagebrush Ecosystem Effort in Updated StoryMap

This week, Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) updated a StoryMap marking the 50th anniversary of the agency. In addition to information on DEQ’s history, leadership, and activities, the StoryMap now highlights efforts to restore the sagebrush ecosystem in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management and the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation & Enforcement. The effort includes partnerships with other organizations in the state to educate students on the importance of ecosystem management and provide certifications for seedling specialists interested in reclamation and restoration projects.
