Modeling state information sharing, a Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) leader spoke last week at New York Climate Week about Wyoming’s carbon sequestration efforts. DEQ Groundwater Section Manager Lily Barkau touted responsible development of Carbon Capture, Utilization, & Sequestration technologies and the permitting of former oil producing wells for carbon sequestration.
Wyoming and North Dakota are the first two states to be granted primacy by U.S. EPA for the Class VI program.
