Earlier this month, the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) deployed a Mobile Beta Attenuation Monitor (BAM) trailer in Laramie County to monitor for PM10, PM2.5, and meteorological parameters for the next year. The trailer, which was placed at an elementary school in response to citizen concerns about industrial operations and windblown dust in the area, will report near real-time data to WYVisNet, an online dashboard that informs the public of air quality across the state.
