Rhode Island Stormwater Solutions (RISS) was developed to educate Rhode Island residents about stormwater. The project was produced by the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management in collaboration with the University of Rhode Island Cooperative Extension, Rhode Island Department of Transportation, Southern Rhode Island Conservation District, and a diverse advisory group. The project provides various educational materials where the user is able to sort by topic, medium, or pollutant. Topics range from youth education to pet waste, while mediums range from cartoons to manuals, fact sheets, and guides.

The project started to solve the problem of stormwater runoff, which is the leading cause of pollution in Rhode Island waters.

The first project ran from 2006 to 2011, and the second from 2014 to 2019.

The project was completed in 2019 but remains posted as an online resource.

Major accomplishments for both projects include:
- Spreading the word with statewide stormwater education
- Helping MS4s reach their residents
- Building stormwater programs through ordinances, policies, and changes in local practices
- Conducting state, municipal, and private sector workshops
- Progress reports
